So this is frightening. Really. I have made my previous posts private out of fear of being cancelled, deplatformed, or worse. For espousing conservative views or highlighting liberal hypocrisy and corruption, I could lose my job, my bank account, my insurance (see Curt Schilling) and who even knows what else. I raised my hand – twice to serve in two branches of our military, and what is going on now completely guts me. Freedom of speech is no longer a tenet my beloved America believes in. I have only cried as an adult a dozen or so times, and lately I have been near the point of an emotional breakdown. Should I stop following the stories – that come out DAILY – reporting more censorship, cancelling, fraud and threats to destroy the lives of anyone who questions our government? How do we get back to where we were? The place where we could have sound debate, and the expectation that our leaders cared about us and about our country. Twitter banned the President of the United States because he dared to defy them. Then the tech tyrants colluded to have Parler deplatformed in an effort to keep Donald Trump from being able to communicate with the people of our country. If they can do these things to him, how much longer will I be able to write my thoughts and feelings in this space?
